G.L. David Memorial Elementary School was named after Genorosa De Leon David who donated the two thousand two hundred fourteen (2, 214) square meter lot for its purpose. It was started in 1993 with Grades I to II under the leadership of Mr. Alfredo Navarro. Before the school year 1995 ended, Mrs. Anita M. De Dios look over as Principal. In 2000, Mr. Fernando Cortez was the Principal followed by Mrs. Maria M. Nisay in 2000-2001 and by then with the complete elementary, Grade I- VI. The next principal was Miss Lorna V. Guinto from 2002-2003.Followed by Miss Janette G. Lopez from 2004-2005, Mrs. Norma C. Vasquez from July 2005 to December 2005, Dr. Corazon T. Lopez from January 2006 to March 2006, Mrs. Soledad S. Carlos from April 2006 to June 14 2007, Mrs. Edna Q. Polache from June 2011 to August 21, 2012. Mrs. Ma. Jovita B. Singzon, who is now the school head, works hard for the improvement and development not only for the physical facilities but also to academic level of the school.


































































































Geo Political

G.L. David Memorial Elementary School is located at North-Western section of the City of Balanga. It is one-half kilometer drive away from the city proper. It can be reached by any land form of transportation. It has a total land area of two thousand two hundred fourteen (2,214) square meters. It is a sitio of Barangay Tuyo. Residents here are migrants from various provinces, thus the school serves as institution for the settlers of this city.


Socio-Cultural

G.L. David Memorial Elementary School pupils and facilities participate in celebrating barangay fiesta every 11th day of August in honor of Santa Clara. Masses was being held in Sta. Clara which was being sponsored by different companies and prominent individuals in the province of Bataan.



Demography

G.L. David Memorial Elementary School is in sitio Pag-ibig which is included in the governance of Barangay Tuyo,one of 25 barangays in the City of Balanga. It has a total land area of approximately 66, 770 hectares. Majority of the people in the barangay speak Tagalog but most of them are mixture of Ilocano, CaviteƱos , Visayas and Kapampangan. People from the different provinces came and settled in the place and has now a total population of 5, 097 (as of Census) with 962 household living in the vicinity.
